Last month, the Chick-fil-A Foundation granted $10,000 to an Oklahoma non-profit organization, 4RKids, as a part of the True Inspiration Awards. This organization focuses on supporting children and adults with disabilities, as well as providing resources for their families. Their Enid, Oklahoma store sells products made by their special-needs employees and volunteers to help raise money for local projects such as sports leagues and educational programs for disabled community members.
4RKids was nominated for the award by Chick-fil-A Operator Connie Sturgeon-Hart, who serves on the board of the organization. Tricia Mitchell, the Executive Director of 4RKids, says that they are so grateful to have these funds, which they plan on using to boost their general operations.
