Partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, more than 5,000 Chick-fil-A restaurant owners, home office employees and their families gathered together to accomplish a record-breaking feat. While attending the company’s annual conference in Dallas, this remarkable group packed a total of 1,073,528 meals for food-insecure children.
The volunteer meal-packing event was part of the Feeding Children Everywhere Hunger Projects Initiative. Together, the volunteers were able to scale efforts and make a tangible difference in the fight against hunger. Each meal packed will go to a family facing limited access to adequate, healthy food. Every meal included balanced portions of nutritious and durable food items, including lentils, rice, dehydrated vegetables and pink Himalayan salt. The meals will be distributed in the next week to communities in 13 states - Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas.
This is one of the many volunteer events the Chick-fil-A Foundation provides for Chick-fil-A employees throughout the year.
It was exciting to see how much we can accomplish by working together to achieve a common goal. We thank everyone who volunteered their time and effort to help children across the country.
