Earlier this year, the Chick-fil-A Facilities and Equipment team volunteered at the Nicholas House homeless shelter and spent a day building a playhouse for the children residing at the shelter. On April 14th, that same team of volunteers dedicated their Friday to help renovate the Nicholas House even further – both inside and out.
Located in the heart of Atlanta, the Nicholas House provides shelter to families of all sizes, no matter what their circumstances, while also helping families achieve long-term self-sufficiency regardless of composition.
The Chick-fil-A staff volunteers spent the day installing new flooring, cabinets and countertops inside the house. These new features will provide better facilities and sustainable storage areas for food and other necessities the residents of the house might need. Staff members also helped “beautify” the outside of the house with much needed gardening and grooming. The Facilities & Equipment team were able to use their expertise and skills to give back to a great organization.
