Earth Day: Clean-Up on Atlanta's Westside

On Earth Day, Chick-fil-A staff took part in a mass clean-up effort on the Westside. The project was organized by Friends of English Avenue. Among the many volunteer events that took place this day, team members worked to clean the neighborhood’s streets, clear out garden spaces and plant new gardens throughout the area. Staff also participated in an Earth Day 5K race to celebrate the national holiday.

The Chick-fil-A Foundation is committed to working together with partners, like Friends of English Avenue, to revitalize this area of Atlanta and providing hands-on service to support this goal.

Friends of English Avenue (FEA) is a nonprofit founded on the principles of justice, generosity and virtue. Sharing similar goals with the Chick-fil-A Foundation, FEA supports impoverished and underprivileged areas in Atlanta (particularly the Westside) through beautification, crime reduction, establishing green space like gardens and parks in the area and mentoring those in need. It was a pleasure participating in the activities organized by them and giving back on a day that inspires doing so.
